Rates & Fees
Transparency is important to us. Below you'll find detailed information about our rates and fee structure.
Title loans are designed as short-term financial solutions, not long-term fixes. In Texas, these loans are often facilitated by Credit Access Businesses (CABs), which charge fees for connecting you with a lender, on top of the interest rate. Because Texas does not cap title loan interest rates, APRs can be exceptionally high, often exceeding 300%. However, local Austin ordinances do cap the total loan amount based on your vehicle's value or your income to help prevent over-borrowing. We strongly advise reading all documents provided by your lender carefully before signing.
Annual Percentage Rate (APR)
Varies by lender (Often exceeds 300% for title loans in Texas)

State-Specific Information — Texas
Maximum Loan Amount: In Austin, maximum loan amounts are generally restricted to 3% of gross annual income or 70% of the vehicle's retail value, whichever is less.
Rate Cap: Texas has no statewide APR cap for title loans when facilitated through a Credit Access Business (CAB), meaning APRs can legally exceed 300%.
Regulations: Austin enforces a strict ordinance on auto title and payday loans. Lenders acting as CABs must register with the city. City law mandates that loans cannot exceed specific income or vehicle value thresholds and regulates how many times a loan can be refinanced.
Licensing: Lenders operating in Texas typically do so under the Credit Access Business (CAB) structure, subject to Texas Finance Code Chapter 393 and local Austin ordinances under City Code Chapter 4-12.
